The above are a selection of portraits of family and friends. The cricketers form part of a commission that was undertaken for Jack Russell, the Gloucestershire and England wicketkeeper; the first portrait completed being of Alan Knott (Kent and England) who is my brother-in-law. The final image is of a painting done whilst suffering a bad back. It is a copy of Joseph Wright's "An Experiment on a Bird in the Air Pump" and was carried out to take my mind off of the pain, creative inspiration not being with me. The original (his, not mine) hangs in the National Gallery.
